Terms of Service (For Hardware Products)

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your purchase and use of the Hidden Camera Clock hardware product (“Product”). The Product is manufactured and sold by [Your Company Name] (“we”, “us”, or “our”).


All software, mobile applications, and cloud services used with the Product are provided independently by Tuya Inc. or its affiliates (“Tuya”) and are subject to Tuya’s own terms and policies. We do not provide, operate, control, or guarantee Tuya’s platform services.

By purchasing or using the Product, you agree to these Terms.
If you do not agree, please do not use the Product.


1. Hardware Product Only

We sell and support hardware only.
The Product may require installation and use of Tuya’s software, mobile app, or cloud platform (“Tuya Services”).

You acknowledge and agree that:

  • Tuya Services are not provided by us;

  • Tuya’s own terms, privacy policies, and service conditions apply;

  • We are not responsible for Tuya’s service performance, uptime, maintenance, bugs, security, data storage, or future availability.


2. Use Requirements & User Responsibilities

To use the Product, you may need:

  • A stable 2.4GHz Wi-Fi network;

  • A compatible smartphone;

  • The Tuya Smart App;

  • Any additional technical requirements specified by Tuya.

You are solely responsible for:

  • Setting up, positioning, configuring, and using the Product;

  • Ensuring recording complies with local privacy and surveillance laws;

  • Providing required notices to guests, household members, or third parties regarding recording;

  • Ensuring the Product is used only for lawful purposes.

We do not guarantee the Product will function properly if modified, altered, or used contrary to instructions.


3. No Accounts or Subscription Services Provided by Us

We do not provide an account system, cloud storage, or subscription service.
Any account creation, data storage, playback, or notifications are provided solely by Tuya.

We are not responsible for:

  • Loss of video or data stored in Tuya’s cloud;

  • App or service outages;

  • Delayed notifications or missing alerts;

  • Changes, limitations, or discontinuation of Tuya’s features.


4. Sharing and Handling of Content

All video, audio, and images (“Content”) generated by the Product are processed through Tuya Services.

You understand and agree that:

  • We do not collect, store, or access your Content;

  • Tuya may store or process your Content as described in its policies;

  • You are solely responsible for securing your Content and your device passwords;

  • You must ensure any Content sharing complies with applicable laws.


5. Software

The Product may include firmware required for operation.
You may use the firmware only as needed to operate the Product.

You may not:

  • Reverse engineer, decompile, or modify the firmware;

  • Use the firmware independently from the Product;

  • Circumvent security protections.

Software updates may be installed automatically.


6. Changes to Product or Terms

We may update the hardware, documentation, or these Terms for legal, safety, or operational reasons.

Your continued use of the Product constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.


7. Warranty, Returns, and Refunds

Your purchase is subject to the return and warranty policies of the marketplace or retailer from which you purchased the Product (e.g., Amazon, Shopify, etc.).

Unless required by applicable law, we do not offer:

  • Warranty for software or Tuya Services;

  • Compensation for service downtime or cloud storage loss.

This hardware warranty does not cover:

  • Misuse, accidents, or improper installation;

  • Unauthorized modifications;

  • Damage caused by third-party software, networks, or services.


8. No Life-Safety Use

The Product is not intended for:

  • Emergency monitoring;

  • Life-safety applications;

  • Professional security monitoring.

The Product may fail, produce false alerts, or stop functioning—users must not rely on it for emergency or high-risk scenarios.


9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law:

  • We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, or special damages;

  • We are not liable for data loss, service interruption, or issues caused by Tuya Services;

  • Our total liability for any claim shall not exceed the purchase price of the Product.

Nothing in these Terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence where prohibited by law.


10. Force Majeure

We are not responsible for any failure caused by events beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to:
natural disasters, network failures, government actions, pandemics, cyberattacks, or third-party service outages (including Tuya).


11. Governing Law & Jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by the laws of the country/region where the Product was sold, unless local laws require otherwise.

Consumers may bring claims in the courts of their country of residence as allowed by law.


12. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify us against claims arising from:

  • Illegal or improper use of the Product;

  • Violations of privacy or surveillance laws;

  • Misuse of Content;

  • Use of the Product in combination with defective networks, third-party apps, or unauthorized accessories.
